Top 10 Wide Receivers in the NFL

1. Andre Johnson 6-3 225 Miami

Analysis: Johnson is all the tools needed to be a top reciever. Has the best hands in the league. Has great size, speed,strength, and route running ability. Has a great demeanor compared to other receivers who always demand the ball. Had a career- high 115 catches and 1,575 yards receiving.

2. Calvin Johnson 6-5 236 Georgia Tech

Analysis: Has a tremendous size and speed combination. Calvin also has one the best vertical leaps and has awesome hands. Johnson had 78 catches and 1,331 yards without having a real quarterback last year.

3. Larry Fitzgerald 6-3 217 Pittsbutgh

Analysis: Fitzgerald is a real student of the game. Is a good route runner, knows who use his size and leaping ability. Fitzgerald rarely drops a pass thrown his way. Had 96 catches and 1,431 yards last year. Not an extremely fast player, but seems to find another gear when the end zone is in sight.

4. Randy Moss 6-4 212 Marshall

Analysis: One of the 5 best receivers in NFL history. At age 32, Moss still has elite speed and leaping ability. Moss is also holds the record for most receiving TD's in a season. in 2008 Moss had 69 catches for 1,008 yards and 11 TD's.

5. Steve Smith 5-9 185  Utah

Analysis: Smith is one the most explosive receivers in the game right now. He has elite speed and quickness. Not only does Smith play fast, he plays big. Some of the plays Smith makes you would expect from a 6-3 220lb receiver. Smith also has vertical leap over 40 inches which makes him suprising, but effective target for jump balls. Smith had 78 catches and 1,421 yards in 2008 despite having a very average quarterback.

6. Brandon Marshall 6-4 230 Central Florida

Analysis: No matter what Marshall's off field issues are, he is one of the most talented and productive wideouts in the league. He had a week 1 supension in 2008 and came back with a 18 reception game the next week. For the 2008 season, Marshall had 104 catches and 1,265 yards receiving.

7. Roddy White 6-0 212 UAB

Analysis: White is an up and coming receiver in this league. white had 88 catches and 1,382 yards in 2008. White has improved every year, making a big leap in 2007. White has developed great hands to add to his precise route running and good speed and agility.

8. Reggie Wayne 6-0 198 Miami

Analysis: Wayne has replaced his former teammate Marvin Harrison as Peyton Manning's top receiver and the league's best route runner. Wayne has elite hands and sneaky quickness. In 2008 Wayne had 82 catches and 1,145 receiving yards.

9. Vincent Jackson 6-5 230 Northern Colorado

Analysis: At 6-5 Jackson is a suprisingly effective downfield receiver. Jackson is a tenacious downfield receiver and the best blocking wide receiver in the NFL. In 2008 Jackson had 59 catches for 1,098 yards. Jackson has a career average 17.2 yards per catch, which is amazing for a 230 lb receiver.

10. Greg Jennings 5-11 198 Western Michigan

Analysis: Has become Aaron Rodgers number #1 receiver. Jennings has a good combination of speed and quickness. Jennings also has a nose for the end zone. In 2008 Jennings had 80 catches for 1,292 yards and 9 TD's.
